You all know the news. There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. He was one of the first people I ever met in the fandom, and I remember being worried when he went overseas, prepared for the worse. When he made it back to US soil, I, like so many others was relieved he was home again, safe... That it was a serviceman driving the car just adds insult to injury.
Goodbye Furp. My final memory of you which was more than a passing glance was at FC, as you approached me in a costume I didn't know was yours. Only after 10 or 15 minutes did it dawn on me who it was, and then, only because I had a headache, and the costume was miming suggestions of how to make it go away. Your first thoughts were always making others better, easing their pain.
You'll be missed.
